Class 8: Applied Art Project on Shoe Design/Illustration
29th April, 2020
The project was to design a shoe, it could be for a man or a woman or an infant or it could even be gender neutral. In order to narrow down their ideas the students had to begin by answering these questions:
1. Who is my target audience/buyer?
2. What is my inspiration? (bird, animal, feather, flowers etc)
3. Is it a designer shoe - limited edition or a branded shoe?
4. What is the USP (Unique selling proposition) of my shoe? i.e. why will anyone buy it?
5. Does Design win over Comfort or vice-versa or may be both can co-exist in my design?
