ADMISSIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2011-12

Criteria and Timeline for admission to Foundation (Pre-School) class approved by the Managing Committee of Vasant Valley School.

 

Age eligibility : The child should be 3 years + as on 31st March, 2011
The admission process has been designed for transparency and equal opportunity to all applicants.
In case an applicant does not secure a seat due to paucity of seats, it is in no way a reflection of the child's calibre.

 

Total seats available for admission to Pre-School class                                 =  90

 

     1. Seats for children under EWS category (25%)                                         =  22

 

For admission in the EWS category, draw of lots will be conducted on the 27th of January, 2011, in case the number of applicants in this category are more than the number of available seats. 

The school office will be available to help all EWS applicants in filling the on-line Registration Forms on all working days between the 1st and 15th of January, 2011.

List of supporting documents to be produced by parents at the time of verification:

For General Category:- 

a. For proof of residence, any one of the following documents is required: Ration Card, Voter I-D card, Telephone Bill, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, Passport

b. Child’s Birth Certificate from MCD to verify date of birth.

c. For First Born child – Affidavit by the parents confirming that the child is their first born child.

d. For Alumni - School leaving certificate

e. Contribution or achievement to the Community and/or country by the parents : Appropriate Documents

f. Compassionate Ground : Appropriate Documents

g. Overseas Transfer (within the past 2 years)  & children of Armed Forces / Police personnel: For Overseas Transfer - Appointment letter of current employer and relieving letter of previous  

    employer. Armed forces/Police : Appropriate documents in case the parent is in the Armed forces/Police

  

For parents applying for admission of their children under the Economically Weaker Section:

  1. Income Certificate by the office of the Deputy Commissioner (S/W Distt.)
  2. Proof of Residence : Ration Card / Voter ID Card
  3. Date of birth certificate : MCD or Affidavit     

The Admission Process and grant of admission is a subject matter of challenge and subject to the rights of the school.
