Criteria and Timeline for admission to Pre-School approved by the Managing Committee of Vasant Valley School

The admission process has been designed for transparency and equal opportunity to all applicants. In case an applicant does not secure admission due to paucity of seats, it is in no way a reflection of the child or the parent’s calibre.

Age Eligibility: The child should be 3 years + as on 31st March, 2012

Total seats available for admission to Pre-School -  90

Seats for children under Economically Weaker Section & Disadvantaged Group (25%) - 22

A draw of lots for admission under the Economically Weaker Section & Disadvantaged Groups will be conducted on Friday, 27thJanuary, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.

The school office will be available to help all applicants from the Economically Weaker Section & Disadvantaged Groups in filling the on-line Registration Forms on all working days between Monday, 2nd and Monday, 16th of January, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

In the case of seats remaining unfilled in any particular category (except EWS and Disadvantaged Groups), such seats shall then be available under the general category, on the basis of points accumulated as listed below.

Once the children have collected points under the above mentioned headings, they will qualify for the 68 seats under the various categories decided by the school.

List of supporting documents to be produced by parents at the time of verification for admission under the General Category

1. For proof of residence, any one of the following documents is required: Ration Card, Voter I-D card, Telephone Bill, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, Passport
2. Child’s Birth Certificate to verify date of birth
3. For First Born child – Affidavit by the parents confirming that the child is their first born child.
4. For Alumni - School leaving certificate
5. Compassionate Grounds: Appropriate Documents

List of supporting documents to be produced by parents at the time of verification for admission under the Economically Weaker Section and Disadvantaged Group

Submit anyone of the following documents under each of the following categories as proof:
1. Date of Birth:

a. Birth certificate under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Certification Act, 1986.
b. Hospital/Auxilary Nurse and Midwifes (ANM) register record.
c. Anganwadi record.
d. Declaration of the age of the child by the parent or guardian.

2. Parent Residential Address:

a. Ration Card issued in the name of the parents(Mother/Father) having name of the child.
b. Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
c. Voter I-Card of any of the parents.
d. Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill.
e. Unique Identity card of the mother/father/child issued by the Government of India.
f. Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.

3. Proof of Income:

a. Income certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
b. BPL Ration card (Yellow coloured).
c. AAY Ration card (Pink coloured).

4. Proof of Disadvantaged group:

a. A certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or any other Competent Authority.
b. Caste certificate issued by the DC Office.
c. Medical certificate from Govt. Hospital in case of children with special needs/disabilities.

All admissions shall be made solely and strictly on the basis of the above mentioned criteria. Vasant Valley School reserves the right to refuse to admit any student in case it receives any representation/ request/ or any other form of communication in relation to admission of a child, unless such representation/ request or communication is expressly allowed in the criteria above mentioned.
