Class
VIII had a rendering of Shakespeare's 'Merchant of Venice' competition on Monday the 24th. The results are as follows: 1st: Vidur Bhargav 2nd: Damini Chawla 3rd: Aparna Dua On Tuesday the 25th, the VVS team played St. Francis De Sales in the Brother Mahony Soccer Tournament. The game remained scoreless through playing time pushing the game into penalty shootouts which they lost 6-7. Siddhanth Aney (2), Bharat Seth, Gaganjeet and Surya scored for us. On Thursday the 27th, there was an Inter School GK Quiz held in St. Colombus School. The team was Partha Mudgil, Ankit Bahri, Akshay Jain and Sarang Kanchan (Class XI). They were eliminated in the prelminary round. The other team representing the school consisted of Nikhilesh Chand, Digvijay Singh, Abhimanyu Chaudhary and Priya Gupta (Class XI). This took place on Friday the 28th. Class VII visited All India Radio Prasad Bharti on Thursday, the 27th. On Friday, the 28th, the Library council meeting took place. Ankit Bahri & Rishab Rath from Class XI won 2nd prize in a Science Symposium organized by Blue Bells School on Monday the 31st of July. |
Debate Club organized a debate workshop
during hobbies, conducted by Mr Joydeep Bagchi on Monday the 31st of July
and Tuesday the 1st of August. An English Poetry Writing competition was organized for Classes VI to XII on Monday the 31st of July. The results are awaited. Meha Desai, Ritwick Ghosh, Sanchaita GajpatiRaju, Dhruv Mahajan, Noorjehan Rajput & Aatish Bhatia participated in the Social Science Day at Blue Bells School on Tuesday the 1st of July. They were accompanied by Ms Bhagirathy Swamy. They participated in various activities like Mock Parliament, Industrial Revolution and New Economic Order. The Inter House British Parliamentary Style Debate was held on Wednesday the 2nd of July. The motion for debate was 'This house believes that the right to free speech must never be abridged.' Nilanjana Dutt of the First Government was declared the best speaker followed by Sancheta Ganpattiraju of the First Opposition, who was adjudged the second best speaker. Red House won the debate and Green House came in second. |
