Dilli Darshan Class 3
27th October, 2017

Since we are studying Delhi's past, class three went on a 'Dilli Darshan' in which we saw the monuments and some other important buildings. We went to Red Fort, Purana Qila, Humayun's Tomb, Raj Ghat (which is a memorial of Gandhi Ji), Qutab Minar, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan and India Gate. We stayed in the bus and only got off at Raj Ghat. We learnt about who built the monuments and when were they built. We also learnt that some monuments were built by more than one person like the Qutab Minar which was built by three kings. We stopped at the Nehru park for a snack of chips and juice. After coming back to school we were all assigned one of the monuments to research about. At the end of the trip I realized that Delhi being the capital of Mughal Empire for some time has a very long history.
