Class V Visit to Asola Wildlife Santuary
7th March, 2018
Trip to Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary
That morning I made it just in the nick of time for school and hurriedly jumped onto the bus. We were all ready and full of anticipation to visit the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. It was a pleasant morning so we could catch a glimpse of most birds. One of the highlights of the trip was the enjoyable nature walk. Along the walk, we saw some charming birds like the Blackbirds, Sparrows, Doves and several more. We also saw a White-eyed Bulbul, which is a rare sighting nowadays. Unfortunately, we didn't see any blackbucks, which everyone had been eagerly waiting to see. Then we went to a meadow full of enchanting butterflies which was full of some gorgeous flowers too. My favourite part of the day was our walk to this damp spot which was full of numerous water sprinklers. As the sunlight fell on the watering sprinklers, it created several rainbows; my friends and I were absolutely fascinated and could not take our eyes off them. Later, we watched a few videos on nature. At the end of the day, I felt far more informed about birds and their habitat. Looking forward to our next trip!
