Meet the - Author Srijan Pal Singh - Class 8

On the 14th of August, 2019 , Class 8 had the pleasure of interacting with renowned and extremely talented author , Srijan Pal Singh .

He co-authored the novels, 'Reignited' , along with Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam and wrote fascinating books like 'The Black Tiger: Defeating India's Corrupted and Realising Kalam's Dream of a Corruption-free India', etcetera .

During this talk , Mr Singh spoke about topics ranging from Astrobiology to India's fantastic and celestial achievements with Chandrayaan 2 and the ingenuity of its extremely intelligent scientists , such as Dr. Kalam . He explained the concepts of India's Mars Mission as well as the opening of Indian Space Research Organisation . We could almost hear the pride in his voice as he spoke about his country overcoming its underdog status to become one of the leading contenders in the space race .
He mainly focused on the world's achievements in the field of astronomy as well as celestial bodies which could prove to be habitable for humans . He mentioned ingenious achievements in the study of astrobiology and touched upon the concepts of the Golden Record as well as the Voyager 1 and 2.

Throughout this talk Mr. Singh was extremely erudite, engaging, witty and interactive. He graciously answered our questions and widened our knowledge of all things in space. We are extremely thankful for his visit and the Library Council's initiative .
