Meet the Author - Yann Martel for Classes 7-12

Mr. Yann Martel, the author of the award winning novel 'Life of Pi' and the recipient of the Man Booker Prize visited the school on 21st of January and had an enriching session with the students of Classes 7-12. He shared his views on religion, travels in India and his inspiration for the book. Mr. Martel drew a comparison between his book and the film adaptation, bringing to the fore many interesting perspectives. He also reminded aspiring writers to keep reading and writing. He very rightly said that "We are the architects of our own lives" and thus should not be discouraged by the obstacles that we may encounter. He concluded with an interactive question and answer session and signed the books of all the avid readers and fans.
