Environment

Talk by Mr. Vimlendu Jha for Classes 6,7 and 8
2nd March, 2020

Mr Vimlendu Jha, a very inspiring and driven man, had come to our school today to give us a talk about how a single person doing one small thing to help the environment could make a huge difference. Just like Dalai Lama had said ' If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito'.
Mr Jha discussed how we think that 'private solutions to a public problem will not help'. We learnt a lot from him and realised our mistake and how we are contributing to polluting this world. He found this ironic that we waste clean water and food when half the population gets very less food after working tirelessly. He explained to us that we should encourage other people to switch to eco-friendly ways. Moreover, we should not wait for other people to start. We should begin as soon as we can. Remember ' Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects.'
