Visit to the Qutub Minar

On Tuesday, the 7th of August, we the students of class 7 visited the Qutb
Minar.Even though we had been going there continuosly for the past five years, we
were still excited. After a fun filled (but short) bus ride which we spent
busily talking about politics, we reached the Qutb complex.
Other than the Qutb Minar, there were quite a few other things to look at. A
few tombs, a madrassa built by Ala ud din Khalji , the famous Iron Pillar, and the Alai Darwaja to namea few.
After a sunny day of looking at the world famous minaret, Sultan
Qutb-ud-din's mosque "Quwwat-ul-Islam", the seven metre high iron pillar,
the abandoned Alai Minar, and the Alai Darwaza, a magnificent gateway in the
complex, we even learnt a few new facts too!
Even if the students deny it, we are dying to visit the Qutb Minar next
year!
