Grandparents Mrs. Khosla, Mr. Khan, Ms. Thapar, Mr Nanda and Doctor Indresan spoke to students about their personal experiences with the freedom struggle. AUGUST 14 Many of the students of Class XII spent the night in school. Article on page 3. AUGUST 15 The flag hoisting and Independence Day celebrations went off well with a large turnout. They ended, as always, with the distribution of laddoos to the eager students. The entire event was covered and telecast by Zee News. The reporters interviewed students of various classes. AUGUST 17 As part of the All India Nivia Football Tournament, a match was held between the VVS under 16 team and the Nivia football academy. Vasant Valley lost, scoring only one goal. The score was 3-1. A Robotics Workshop was held by students of IIT Kanpur for all those who were interested. The theme was ‘electronics’ and the students learned to interface their kits with the computer. Report in next issue. Yaman Verma and Rohan Arora of class X left for Jaipur to participate in a debate organized by 'Sanskar'. AUGUST 21 The results of the Maths Prize Test were read out in assembly. The winners are: Class VI: Medha Vira Class VII: Keshav Kumar Class VIII: Vikrant Sethi Class IX: Varun Arni Class X: Swati Sood Class XI: Karan Kumar and Kaartike Sahay Class XII: Siddhant Khanna |
