SCHOOL WATCH

On Friday, the 12th of January, six students from classes 8, 9 and 11 went to Rai Public School for an interactive session with Ruskin Bond, the famous Anglo-Indian author who has enthralled people of all ages with his writing.

Students of classes VI and VII went to Sri Ram center for a film show organized by Salam Balak Trust on Wednesday the 17th of January.

A Special Class Activity was held on the 31st of January to commemorate Martyr’s Day, which was on the 30th

The class X and XII practicals began on Tuesday the 6th of February. We wish them the best of luck.

Priya Malik and Mohita Satara attended a web-poetry workshop on Friday the 2nd of February, conducted by Catherine Byron. 

A UN Mock Session was held on the 2nd and 3rd of this month in DPS RK Puram. 20 schools participated, each representing different countries. Partha Mudgil and Ankit Bahri of Class XI represented our school. Ankit Bahri won a Certificate of Commendation. 

A talk was given by Mrinalini Tandon and Sandeep Bhattacharya on Friday the 2nd of February on their experiences of the earthquake 
in Bhuj.

Sports News

On Monday the 5th of February, a soccer match was played between the school team and the staff. The school team won 7-1 with Sudhansh Kumar scoring a hat trick, Pratik Sharda scoring 2 goals and Gaganjit SinghTandon and Akshay Chhibber chipping in with one goal each.

The Junior Inter-house basketball competition finals were held on Friday, the 9th of February. The boys’ final was played between Blue house and Yellow House and won by Yellow. The girls’ final was held between Red House and Blue house and Red house were victorious.

Presentations on “Health” were made by the students of Class IX and Class XI on the 6th and 7th of February. The first prize was awarded to a presentation on AIDS, done by a group consisting of Meghna Sethy, Mudita Roy and Bharti Singh Rao. Congratulations!
