Interhouse Athletic Meet

The Interhouse Athletic Meet was held on the 22nd of December. In an ambience of sportsmanship and an environment of competition, this event was a great success. The day started with the Yellow house leading with 80 points. However, the final scores were: 
Red House - 251 
Blue House - 221
Yellow House - 179
Green House - 142

Gaganjit Singh Tandon and Meghna Mehta were declared as the athletes of the year winning six and five medals respectively.

The meeting with the parents of the children of Class VI was held.

The Class X and Class XII preboards are going on. We wish them all the best.

Class VIII students went for a visit to the Sanskriti Creative Workshop on Wednesday, the 10th of January.

Some children of classes 6,7 and 8 went to the World Wildlife Fund, Lodhi Estate on 16th of January for a film show by National Geographic on “Venom”. 

The Chinmaya Mission

On 11th of this month, the
students of Vasant Valley School were a part of a very prestigious occasion - the 50th anniversary of the Chinmaya Mission. 
The Founders Day celebrations of the Chinmaya Mission were carried out at the Indira Gandhi Indoor stadium. It was a cultural event where children of different schools performed either a song or a cultural dance. Our choir of 150 children sang the School Song.

All Children who want to contribute Articles, Jokes, Puzzles, Riddles and interesting facts for the Science magazine should give them in to Digvijay Singh or Priya Malik of Class XI.

Soccer

The Junior School girls played a match against The Indian School. They made us proud by winning by a large margin - 10-0. 
The Junior School girls also played a match against The British School. We won 5-0 with our attack dominating over their defence and the ball continously in the other half.
