Opinion Poll

This opinion poll covered 100 Vasant Valley students and teachers.
Question:
Do you think that teaching in school needs to be supplemented by coaching classes and tuitions from outside?

An English Elocution Competition was held on the 24th of August for Classes VI-VIII. The first prize was awarded to Kabir Bindra VII-B and the 2nd prize to Aashna Kishore VIII-C. 

In the Father Agnels Basket Ball tournament, the Vasant Valley Boys team beat Bal Bhavan 54-21 and then proceeded to beat Modern School Vasant Vihar 53-27. Our team however lost against New Green Fields. Surya Uday Bedi was the top-scorer of the tournament. In the Girl's matches, our team won against New Green Fields 21-12, but lost against Modern School Barakhamba Road 5-35. 

A workshop on "The Myths we live by" was conducted by Mr. Rohit Pillai on the 23rd of August, which was attended by Headboys and Headgirls from twenty Delhi Schools. 

In the Inter House Junior Soccer Tournament Finals, Red House played against Yellow House and beat them 1-0. The lone goal scorer was Aman Raj Kapoor from Class VIII.

Ankit Bahri, Nikhilesh Singh Chand, Partha Mudgil and Tanya Kewalramani represented our school in the Sriram School Debate. Ankit Bahri was adjudged the best speaker in the first round, Nikhilesh Singh Chand was adjudged the best speaker in the semi final and Partha Mudgil was given the “Most Promising speaker award.

In the North India Multimedia Competition, our school team consisting of Piya Kishore and Sonam Mahajan was awarded the first position, while our second team consisting of Aditya Oberoi, Simit Batra and Ashwin Garg was awarded the third position.
