Maybe you’ve already noticed, or maybe you haven’t. Slight shades of grey, neat borders on pictures, even these tabs on top. All these elements are a part of a modern look that the new editorial team is working towards. Our aim is to make this newsletter worth your while. We will not fill these four pages with just any old thing. Every article you read in this issue has been put there to inform, and to entertain. We want you to look forward to your copy, week after week.
I think we have great talent on our new Editorial Board. As we start, the team has three key goals: good, interesting writing, modern design, and, most important, an issue on your desk every week. Just in case you miss the printed copy, you can read it online: each newsletter will be released on the school website the day it is printed.
But we cannot achieve this without your help. If you have a story to tell, a sketch, a poem, a movie you wish to recommend to your peers, an interesting book you might have read, or even a joke, just give it to us and we’ll try our best to use it. If you have any tips others can use, tell us. After all, this newsletter is all about you. And we are looking forward to your participation.

Save the last dance for Class XII...
The Class Twelves completed their last day of school on January 31. A farewell perfomance was held for them by the Class Elevenths on January 29. The highlight was a spoof (or so it seemed) of the ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ song, and some students danced to ‘Shava Shava’. Eshaan Trivedi sang the classic blues number Hoochie Coochie Man, with Abhishek Narula and Sonam Mahajan on the guitar. And then the Twelves and the Elevens hopped on to the stage to dance with each other. On the whole a fabulous show.
On the night of February 1, the Farewell Bash was held in the Junior School courtyard. Everyone came in formal dress, the Class XIs mainly in Indian formal and the Class XIIs in Western. The music was terrific, and there was great food to go around. The kids danced like there was no tomorrow (even though some had their SATs the next morning). The party ended at about 1 am by which time tears had started rolling down some cheeks, and long goodbyes were being said. All in all everyone had a great time. We’ll miss you guys. |
