INDIA-ENGLAND: THE OUTLASH

The recently completed one day series between India and England was well fought and turned out to be a thrilling one with none of the teams walking off with the winner's trophy. The tournament ended with the final score at 3-3 with both teams giving their best
India had the upper hand throughout the series but failed to capitalize on its many chances during the course of the series. India was leading the series 3-1 with only 2 matches to play.

The last two matches turned out be

cliffhanger victories, going right up to the last over, for England where India lost by very small margins of 2 & 5 runs in the second last and the last match respectively. The draw for England came as a boost for their morale, wheras India considered the draw as a loss. The only saving grace for India was that Sachin Tendulkar won the Man of the series trophy. The finding of Virender Sehwag as opener has been a plus point from India's point of view in the series. With many more matches to play we all hope that the Sachin and Sehwag show will continue.
