Class 6 - Shivpuri Beach Camp at RishikeshThe campsite planned for class 6 this year was Shivpuri. It is on the banks of river Ganga and is near Rishikesh. Lets tell you how it all began……………………. On the 22nd of March at 6:30 [yawn! “Where is my quilt mom?”], we left for Shivpuri. From school it was a 7 hour long bus journey. It was very tiring indeed. After a long time we finally reached Shivpuri, and crossed the river to reach our campsite. We started with some GROUP EXERSISES. Boring….. Doesn’t it seem? Well it was completely the opposite. Every day we had exciting mornings drinking cocoa, afternoons were full of adventure activities and evenings playing games, camp fire, songs and dinner. And a midnight feast, was an awesome ending to a perfect day! The next morning began with hiking, then drinking cocoa. Then it was rafting in the holy waters of the Ganga. “SPLASH! SHIVER!” jumping into the water during the rapids was the best of it all! Some of the rapids we experienced were: Three Blind Mice [DEADLY], Butterfly [FUN], Mickey Mouse [BOR-ING/ BABY-ISH], Black Money [PRETTY COOL] and Return To Sender [IT WAS A PART OF OUR CAMP SITE]. And about 3000 more [ha, ha! JUST EXAGGERATING]. We did a bunch of rope activities like Burma Bridge [KEEP YOUR BALANCE], Fire Fox [FAST AND FURIOUS], and Valley Crossing [ahh! MY BACK PAINS]. Then it was cocoa and campfire, along with a surprise……………………… WE HAD TO PERFORM PLAYS IN OUR RESPECIVE GROUPS. WE WON’T TELL YOU HOW THAT WENT BUT ONE WAS THE BEST [NOT TAKING NAMES……. BUT OURS!] The second last day we visited a school in Shivpuri, did Kayaking, and lazed around. And we guess you know that we left the next day!
