The key speakers were Dr S.Y.Quershi ,former Chief Election Commissioner of India and Mr Swapan Dsgupta ,noted journalist and Member of Parliament. The audience comprised of about 60 students from 10 schools and Class12 students of Vasant Valley. 11 Students from The School of Leadership, Afghanistan will be attending Vasant Valley School from 18th - 31st January, 2016
Our visitors from SOLA singing their National Anthem, Sorod Mily. They also gave us a glimpse of Afghani culture by putting up a beautiful dance performance for the entire school along with their teacher. It was delightful to see them engaged in the steps, smiling faces, clapping along with the music. She is a Virologists and spoke to the students on the basic structure, classification and properties of viruses. She also gave the students an insight on how she "manufactures" viruses in her lab and converts these so-called dangerous organisms to be used for human benefit.

Apparently for the Michelin starred chefs who visited our school on the 17th of September (Marcello Tully, Laurie Gear, Anjum Anand, Frances Atkins and Ian Curley) the options are limitless, even when handed some of the most basic ingredients available in a kitchen pantry. Vasant Valley School is hosting the SPIC MACAY Virasat Week from 3rd September to 7th September, 2012 comprising of a series of cultural events. We are fortunate to have very renowned artists performing and talking to our children.
